I have been searching around the ruins in the Gerudo desert and I have found a place called the Gerudo Sanctuary which has a large locked gate and a pit in the middle that you need to place a ball into to unlock it. I have looked all around the area and I have not been able to find any ball to drop into this. Where is it?

This ball is not found in the wild. It is an area that is part of one of the side quests called the Mysterious eighth. In order to do this, you will need to speak to the woman in the main room of the Gerudo Town underground. The quest you need to complete first is called the Heroine’s Secret.
