High Command Needs Me – Original Song

The past few weeks of my gaming life have been entirely overcome with Helldivers 2. The game is the breath of fresh air that has been missing for such a long time. Having been a part of the struggle to shut down the Automatons at Malevelon Creek, the moment deserved some music that matched the epic proportion of heroism that was displayed by the countless Helldivers.

This original song is for all the fearless Helldivers that have been fighting for democracy! Lyrics for the song below.

Song Lyrics

high command needs me lyrics

All song lyrics were written by me and inspired by the awesome battles from Helldivers 2. Copyright Nerdburglars.

[Verse]
In the heat of the battle
Where the hell pods pound
I strap on my armor
On this holy ground
High Command’s calling
Duty’s cry so loud
I’m torn from your embrace
But I’ll make you proud

[Chorus]
High Command needs me
In this fight we must prevail
I’ll defend Super Earth
Till the final exhale
Through the chaos and danger
I’ll stand tall and brave
For freedom’s call
I’ll march on unafraid

[Verse]
Through alien landscapes
Where chargers lurk unseen
With quasar in hand
I fight to keep our dreams
But my heart feels heavy
As I think of you
It isn’t war I seek
But the bots just took the creek

[Verse]
In the depths of darkness
Where stalkers loom
A battle rages
With destinies entwined
Automatons and Termanids
They seek control
But we stand strong
United in our minds (oh-yeah)

[Verse]
The cry of titans echoes through the night
Drowning out the sound of oppression’s might (oh-no-no)
Divers
We rise
With courage as our guide
Together we’ll fight
With hearts alight (oh-yeah-yeah)

[Chorus]
We’re the revolution of liberty
Breaking chains with every stride
We’ll sail the cosmic seas
Fighting side by side
In the name of peace
We’ll rise above the fray
Divers unite
In this fight
For a brighter day (oh-oh-oh)

[Chorus]
High Command needs me
In this fight we must prevail
I’ll defend Super Earth
Till the final exhale
Through the chaos and danger
I’ll stand tall and brave
For freedom’s call
I’ll march on unafraid
