I found this big white frog jumping around in a cave. I killed it and it dropped one of those magical rabbits that drops rupees when you kill it and it also dropped an item called a bubul gem. What are these used for?

I think they are just used for a side quest. I found some guy roaming around with a really colourful caravan. He was parked at a cave near a stables. He asked me to get him a bubul gem. Not sure where he went after but im assuming its going to be like Hestu where he keeps changing location, giving you a reward each time you give him gems.
