Cryptic Quatrains 2 Quest Guide

Cryptic Quatrains 2 is the second quest in the Cryptic Quatrains series of quests that come as part of the Season 18 star chart in Destiny 2. Once you pick up the quest, you will be presented with a series of riddles that will lead you to some hidden treasure. There are 5 steps of this quest with various riddles to solve. This guide will show you how to complete all of these steps to get the final treasure.

Where To Get The Cryptic Quatrains 2 Quest

Just like the first part, cryptic quatrains 1, you can collect this quest from a treasure map that is given to you as a reward for leveling up the star chart. Complete as many bounties and expeditions or ketchcrash events in order to progress far enough to unlock this treasure map, which looks like a message in a bottle

Step 1: Complete Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector

You will need to head to the Dreaming City and make your way to the end of the Bay of Drowned Wishes Lost Sector. You can see it marked on the map below. Once you complete the lost sector by looting the chest at the end, you will move onto the next step of the quest.

Step 2: Complete the Lake of Shadows strike

The second step will require you to head to the EDZ and complete the Lake of Shadows strike. You can trigger the strike from the map without needing to go through the normal matchmaking process which may not queue this up for you.

Step 3: Complete an Expedition with a Sword Equipped

This one is not too specific. All you need to do is to equip a sword as your heavy weapon and then to join an expedition from the HELM. Once you complete the event and still have the sword equipped at the end, you will move onto the next step.

Step 4: Find First Buried Treasure On Nessus

This treasure is hidden inside the round tower. If you look from the side, you can see a triangular doorway. When you go through this, you will see the treasure marker on the floor inside the door.

Step 5: Find Second Buried Treasure in The Cistern

The second buried treasure is much easier to find. On the upper area of the cistern, you will find it near the edge of the water. Once you pick up the last treasure, the quest will be completed and you will get your reward, which includes a nice XP bump from the season quest.
