Black Screen While Logging Into Destiny 2

-

Whenever I select my character in Destiny 2, I get stuck at a black screen with some music in the background and then it eventually times out and gives an error. This has only just started happening to me. Up until this I could log in just fine. Whenever I try to log in now It gets stuck on a black screen for a minute or so and then I get the following message.

“You have lost connection to the Destiny 2 servers. Your permissions to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed or your profile may have been signed in elsewhere.”

I have not signed in elsewhere and I have not done anything that might have triggered my online access permission to be revoked. Assuming this means I have been banned? Anyone else been getting this error message?

This seems to be an issue with the way the game communicates with PSN and has happened to a lot of people. The issue was meant to be resolved now so this may be an issue with your network. Try the following things and one should fix the issue. It seems the cause is down to the PS4 going into sleep mode while playing the game and it caches some network info that causes issues.

  • Restart the game
  • Restart the PS4
  • Restart your router/network connection
