When I walk up to the power armour station, i can interact with it to scrap stuff, how do I insert the armor that I am currently wearing so that I can modify it?

If you get out of the power armor and leave it sitting next to the power armor station, you will see there is an option to modify and when you click this, the armor will move automatically to be perfectly placed into the station to be worked on.
