Are The Roads worth building In Death Stranding?

The roads require a lot of resources. It will take quite a bit of work to obtain everything needed to build them. Is it worth the trouble? Some roads already exist in the game that I have not built and they are handy but i'm not sure if I want to go to all this effort to use a road a few times and move onto the next area.

It’s probably not worth building the entire highway again, but some parts of the roads are most definitely worth building. You will find yourself that some areas of the game are free of rocks and quite easy to travel across. Unless the auto paver is close to having what it needs, you can skip these.

Keep an eye out for the rocky areas of the map, these are the ones that you need to be looking at. These areas are hard to cross with a bike and just as awkward on foot. Building roads across these areas ensures you can keep a bike with you and lets you get from A-B a lot faster. It also helps you get past areas where BTs are often found.
