Welcome to the What Remains of Edith Finch trophy guide for PlayStation 4. This is a really enjoyable interactive story that takes you through the story of the Finch family. The game contains no real combat or anything that can be missed. You simply make your way through the story and collect trophies along the way. Once you have completed the game, you can use chapter select to go back and collect any character-based stories that you didn't know when you were playing it the first time.

Platinum Walkthrough [toggle]

All of the trophies in this game are unlocked as you make it through the story, you can't really miss anything due to the chapter select feature, so just read over all of the trophies for this trophy guide for What Remains of Edith Finch and you should be able to get all of the trophies first time around. The chapter select feature will be there when you complete the game and let you go back and collect anything that you have missed.

The only trophy that is worth noting is the one that requires you to watch through all of the credits. When you beat the game do not skip the credits. You may have the play the game again to view them otherwise.

Finish all stories

This will unlock once you complete the game. You will get through each of the stories as you make it through the house. Once you have drawn every character onto the family tree, you will unlock this trophy.

Look in all peepholes and telescopes long enough to hear Edith's commentary

After arriving at the Finch home, you will see that there are doors that have been sealed shut. There is white stuff around the frame of the door that makes them easy to spot. These are the doors of the various family members. Each of these doors contains a peepholes of these doors and wait around for Edith to talk. The telescope is part of the story and you will be prompted to use this. There is nothing that will guide you to all the doors, but the house is relatively small and you can go to any of the doors at any time, so it is hard to miss this one.

Take both paths to the house

At the very start of the game there are 2 paths to take to get to the house. The first is by simply following the main road that you are already on. The second is a grassy path to the left of the road after passing the mailbox. Head down and take the path that goes through the woods to get to the house. I am not sure if you can do both in the one play through (i.e. take one path then backtrack and take the other). If not then you will need to start a new game and take the other path.

Catch 2 rabbits with only 2 swoops

When you play through the story of the little girl who wakes up at night hungry, you will eventually find yourself running around as a cat. As you make it through this part of the story and get to the end, you fall off the tree and turn into an owl. This is where you will catch rabbits. After spending a few minutes flying around the snow, the girl who is talking will talk about eating a rabbit. If you look down, you will see the word RABBIT, this is where a rabbit is. Press R2 to swoop down and make sure you line it up perfectly in order to hit the rabbit and capture it. I was able to press R2 to swoop a bit and let it go and then swoop again and I still got the trophy. Im not sure where the threshold is for this to count, but try not swoop too much. Once you are lined up swoop down and grab the rabbit. You can steer a bit when you are at ground level and they move slowly, so it is very easy to catch both of them first time around.

Let the drunken sailor finish his song

Shortly after the scene where you play as the owl in order to get the trophy "Great Owl", you will find yoruself playing as a large tentacle monster. As you crawl up into the boat you will eventually make it to a larger hall with the captain visible in the back and a drunk man singing while standing near a table. Sit around and let him finish singing his song. The trophy unlocks as soon as he is finished singing.

Clear all balls off the pool table

During the story for Barbera, you will have to go down into the basement to see what happened to your boyfriend. When you get down there you pick up a crutch from the floor. Press R2 to swing it. Swing it so that you end up knocking all of the balls off the table. It doesn't matter if they fall into the pockets or on the floor, just get them off the green part of the table.

Knock all the letters of Gregory's name into the bathtub

Gregory is the baby. You will experience his story while in the bath tub. A few minutes into the flashback you take control of the frog in the bath. Press R2 to make the frog dive down and then release it to make him spring back up. If you hit off the letters on the right side of the bath they fall off. Use the frog to knock off all of the letters to get the trophy.

See Johann's name in the ending credits

I think you just have to watch the credits to the very end. His name will show up when the creditsd are done. The team was fairly small so the credits don't last too long.

Play Calvin's story again

After you beat the game, you unlock the ability to reply memories. Once you have this ability, replay calvins story and the trophy will unlock after you complete it and return to the "Command Center".

Finish all stories
Look in all peepholes and telescopes long enough to hear Edith's commentary
Take both paths to the house
Catch 2 rabbits with only 2 swoops
Let the drunken sailor finish his song
Clear all balls off the pool table
Knock all the letters of Gregory's name into the bathtub
