Getting the platinum isn't too much work for this game, but a minimum of 2 playthroughs are required in order to get the platinum, so this will double the amount of time it takes to get the platinum.

In order to unlock the games hardest difficulty (crushing). You will need to beat the game on hard difficulty. Hard can be tough at times, but it shouldn't be too bad for the most part. You should also use this playthrough to get all of the treasures. If you wait until crushing it could waste a lot of time and a lot of deaths. You want to rush through as much as possible when playing on crushing.

An alternative method would be to play the game first on easy to get all of the trophies. This will also unlock the cheats. You can then tear through the game on hard difficulty very quickly since you have unlimited ammo. These cheats cannot be used on crushing difficulty, so I would suggest playing on hard so that you have plenty of practice. Crushing difficulty is no walk in the park, 2 or 3 bullets and you will die.

The difficulty trophies are the only challenge you will get from this game. Everything else is very easy. You can use chapter select and easy difficulty to get any of the trophies that you missed or were unable to get due to the game being too hard.

Find all 60 treasures

There are 60 treasures hidden throughout the game. Most of these treasures are pretty easy to find. Without even trying you will likely come across around 40 of the treasures with little effort. To make life easy it's best to follow a guide so you don't have to replay any levels to collect any treasures that you missed.

This video will show the location of all the treasures. The strange relic is also included in this video.

Find the Strange Relic

The strange relic is the 61st treasure in the game. This egg shaped treasure is a reference to the collectibles from the Jak and Daxter games. Skip forward to 1 minute 20 for the relic location.

Kill five enemies with a brutal combo

Brutal combos can be difficult to perform at times. To perform one you will need to press pssquarepstriangle (slight pause) pssquare. The timing of the final square can be difficult for some and will get annoying, but with some practice you will get the hang of it. See Brutal Expert for more

Kill five enemies in a row with a brutal combo

Getting 5 of these in a row can be tricky if you havnt nailed the timing. To get it you will need to press pssquarepstriangle and then wait for a slight moment before pressing pssquare again. If you do it right the screen will go slighly blurred and you will kill the enemy (in most cases). Check out the video below for a better idea of how to do it.

Kill 20 enemies melee-attacking from behind

It's in your best interests to be getting as many stealth kills as possible, especially when playing on crushing difficulty. To get a stealth kill you need to sneak up behind an enemy without them noticing you and press pssquare. This will instantly and quietly kill the enemy without any others in the area noticing.

Kill five enemies with a single punch, after softening them up with gunfire

It takes a bit of practice to get this one right. You need to be familiar with your weapon so that you pump enough bullets into them without killing them, but enough so you can still kill them with a single punch. If you can do this without trouble then go for it. Otherwise id suggest waiting until you beat the game and use chapter select on easy.

Pick a weapon like a pistol while on easy difficulty. Shoot an enemy a few times from the hip while running at them. This will prevent them from shooting you as much and also stop them from running for cover. When you are close enough punch and you should be able to do a jumping punch to kill them in a single hit.

Kill five enemies in a row with headshots

I found this to be most easily achieved using the pistol. When playing on crushing it should be your main focus to head shot every enemy so you don't give them the chance to shoot back at you. The accuracy and recoil of the standard pistol make it a good weapon to achieve this, even from a long distance. You should get this without having to try. If you can beat the game on crushing difficulty then you will have gotten 5 headshots in a row at some stage.

Kill 10 enemies with headshots

This should happen naturally on any difficulty. Headshots are instant kills, so focus on getting them all the time even if you already have the trophy.

Kill 30 enemies with headshots

Kill 100 enemies with headshots

If you suck at headshots then this will be a challenge. If you can find a place where you are able to get a headshot easily, you can kill a few enemies then purposly die and reload from the last checkpoint. This will allow you to get the same kills again and they will all add to the same counter.

Kill three enemies with one explosion

This one sucks! Trying to get this without knowing the best place to do it will result in a lot of frustration. Thankfully the best location to get this trophy is already known. Follow the video guide below to easily get this trophy.

Kill three enemies with one explosion five times

Same as the previous trophy. If you use the chapter shown in the video. Keep performing the action and then die if possible. The counter doesn't get reset if you die so you can keep dying over and over until the trophy pops.

Here is an alternative method that i found easier.

Kill 20 enemies by shooting from the hip (without aiming with the L1 button)

This is most easily done with the shotgun at close range. There is a scene later on the game where you are near the old abandoned submarine base. The enemies here will attack you using melee attacks all the time. If you use the mp40 or a shotgun you will be able to run away from them and also kill them without having to worry about aim. Since they are up close and following you it is very easy to get this. You could do this pretty much anywhere, it shouldn't be a difficult trophy to get.

Kill 10 enemies by aiming while hanging from a ledge

Seems hard, but since you can take cover behind a ledge or a wall it actually isn't too bad and on crushing difficulty killing enemies this way is actually a useful tactic. Jump onto a ledge so you are hanging with both of your hands on the ledge. Press L1 and Nate will aim his weapon easily allowing you to kill enemies while having some handy cover. Kill 10 enemies to get this trophy.

Kill 10 enemies with grenades by aiming while hanging from a ledge

Use the same method that you used to get the "Hangman" trophy except use grenades instead of a weapon.

Kill 50 enemies in a row without dying

Depending on your skill level this one can be easy or hard. As expected this is much easier to unlock if you are playing on easy instead of crushing. If you are having trouble getting this trophy you can replay the game on easy after getting the crushing trophy. You should be pretty good at the game after beating it on crushing so killing 50 enemies in a row wont be a problem...provided you don't fall off a ledge!

Kill 50 enemies with the PM - 9mm

If you are having trouble with this, pick a location where you can find the weapon. Get a few kills with it then purposely die. This will bring you back to the last checkpoint, refilling your ammo and giving you more enemies to kill, while still counting the kills you got before you died.

Finish the game in Easy Mode

Trophies stack, so if you can beat the game on hard first, this will unlock too.

Finish the game in Normal Mode

Trophies stack, so if you can beat the game on hard first, this will unlock too.

Finish the game in Hard Mode

This should be your first playthrough. Beating the game on hard will also unlock crushing.

Finish the game in Crushing Mode

This should be the last trophy you get and will be a difficult one to get. You will need to beat the game on hard difficulty before you can play it on crushing.

You are going to need to take cover as much as you possibly can and you will need to get good at headshots. There are a few areas in the game that you can run past without having to kill anyone, but most of the time the way out of an area is blocked until you have killed all the enemies.

There are a couple of areas that will give you a hard time, but a lot of it is going to be quite easy.
