- Mark trophies as unlocked by clicking the trophy icon on the right side of each trophy.
- Use the controls toggle hidden and unlocked trophies.
- Click "Save Progress" to store your progression in a cookie.
Doom is back and this time they have actually done a fantastic job and bringing a classic game franchise back to life. Doom 2016 follows the format we have come to expect from the Doom series and has a nice level of polish. The trophy list is unfortunately a bit glitch, but will most definitely be patched in the future as there is a decent developer behind this game.

Trophy Guide & Road Map [toggle]
I will start by brining up the numerous trophy glitches that have become a major issue with this game. There are ways to prevent this from happening, but it can be quite a frustrating method. You must complete the game in a single playthrough without ever turning the PS4 off. You can suspend the console, but you can't turn it off. If you do this there is a risk that it will cause the game to screw up the stats and never let you achieve the points that you need in order to get the requirements you need to get the trophy. For some trophies it is even possible to achieve the requirements and the trophy wont unlock at all. Backing up a game save and reloading is a way to fix it, but if the glitch occurs for you there is little you can do to fix it. The following trophies are all known to glitch.
What Else Ya Got?
There will most likely be a patch in the future that resolves these issues. Especially the issues with IDKFA where you have the mastery complete, but the game isn't detecting that it has happened.
There tends to be a bit of a delay in the time it takes for a trophy to unlock. If you reach the trophy requirements, make sure you do not turn off the console or do anything until you have waited for at least a minute to make sure that the game has had time to detect that you have achieved the trophy requirement.
The game has no difficulty related trophy for beating the game, which means you can play the entire game on easy and get all of the trophies. There is however a trophy for beating the first chapter of the game on the games hardest difficulty. This difficulty is hard, but there is a glitch for it. The video guide on how to perform this glitch can be found in the description for the trophy "A Toe into Madness".
The single player contains various collectibles that can be collected via chapter select if you miss them, but beware of the glitches with all of these collectible trophies. See "Every Nook and Cranny" for a full guide on how to get all of the collectibles in Doom 2016.
Collect all of the other trophies in the game and the platinum will automatically unlock.
The Cyberdemon is the first boss that you will encounter in Doom. The boss is relatively easy and can be killed a lot easier on easier difficulties.
This will be the second boss fight in the game. The fight comes in 2 parts. First you will have to fight one of the hell guards. He will have a shield and can not be damaged while his shield is blocking him. When he is exposed, try to get headshots in order to deal as much damage as possible during the window that you have to actually attack him.
During the second part of the fight, you will need to attack both of the hell guards. They dont use the shields for this part which doesn't make it as hard as it might seem at first.
This is the final boss in the game. Like most final bosses, this guy is pretty tough and has a lot of health. Make sure you grab as much ammo as you can before getting into the fight. Having max ammo for the BFG will be a big help, any other high powered weapons will also be good to have max ammo for.
The brain is the main weakness that you need to aim for as this will stun the boss. Once stunned you can unload a flair of bullets to do as much damage as you can.
This will come pretty easy as part of the games story.
This is part of the main story and should unlock after Mission 5.
Beat the game on any difficulty to get this. Beating the game on the easiest difficulty will of course make this trophy a lot easier to obtain.
Ultra nightmare is the hardest difficulty in the game and it is really hard. Thankfully you do not need to beat the entire game, just the first chapter. That still doesnt mean this is a total walk in the park. There are no checkpoints, once you die its game over and you have to start again from the start.
Good news for you is there is a glitch to beat this chapter without having to put in too much hard work. This video guide will show you how to take advantage of this glitch to beat the chapter with ease.
You will get this near the end of chapter too. The Chainsaw is a weapon that we all know well from the Doom series. As you might expect, you need to get up close to enemies to get a kill with it, which can be dangerous. Get 50 kills with this weapon to get the trophy.
See more "IDKFA" for more information on weapon mods.
This trophy is known to glitch and there is no known fix at the moment to fix this until it gets patched by the developer. You master weapons by getting a set amount of kills with the particular weapon. The stats are saved across the chapter select which means you can easily grind this trophy. The problem with this trophy is that it can glitch even if you have mastered every one of the weapons. There is no way to fix this yet, until the game gets a patch to resolve all of the games glitches.
Weapon mods are a collectible that can be found by the small drones that carry crates. You can interact with the drones in order to choose a modifier for your weapon. The location of the drones can be quite hard to find. Thankfully there is a collectible guide that will make locating all of the weapon mods much easier. Check out the trophy guide for "Every Nook and Cranny" for a complete collectible trophy guide for Doom 2016.
This is one of the annoyingly glitches collectible trophies for this game. Please read the notes in the walkthrough for this guide on the glitches in this game before getting started with this.
The data logs are generally found quite easily across the entire campaign. They are small tablets that are sitting around the levels that you pick up. Spoiler - in hell they can be found as stone tablets. Check out the trophy guide for "Every Nook and Cranny" for a complete collectible trophy guide for Doom 2016.
Explosive barrels can be found across the game. You can blow up an explosive barrel by shooting it. This will trigger an explosion that will kill or damage enemies within the blast radius. Since the game stores your stats across chapter select, you can grind this trophy at the end of mission 8.
There are a lot of collectibles that can be picked up during the single player campaign. A lot of them can be difficult to find and easy to miss due to the multiple paths you can take to get to your destination. I would highly suggest you follow the collectible guide below to find all of the collectibles in Doom 2016.
This trophy can and should be unlocked along with "Argent Fiend" to save as much time as possible. See the trophy guide for this trophy to get more information.
You can upgrade a stat point for your health, armor and ammo capacity by picking up an Argent Cell. These are collectible items that are hidden across the entire single player campaign. See "Every Nook and Cranny" for a guide on the locations of all of the Argent Cells. Once you have collected all of them and upgraded all of your stats you will get this trophy. In order to get it in a single campaign run, you will need to collect all of the collectibles in one go without using chapter select.
See the trophy guide for "The Circle is Complete" for more information on unlocking this trophy.
Runes are collectibles that are used to attempt a challenge trial that puts you up against enemies and requires you to kill them in a particular way. Use the collectible guide for "Every Nook and Cranny" to help you find all of the runes. Once you have a rune you can attempt the trial. The video guide below will show you what you need to do in order to complete all of the trials as easily as possible.
See "Overclocked" for more information on upgrading the Praetor suit.
This is yet another trophy that is known to glitch for people. After you have purchased the final upgrade for the suit, the trophy will not unlock and you will be stuck. There is also an issue where previous unlocks will not be reset and marked as locked again. You will not be able to get the points required to unlock the locked upgrades and end up being locked out of getting this trophy. If this happens you are stuck and will have to hope that the developer is able to patch this.
To get an upgrade for this suit you will need to find the elite guards. You can find the dead bodies for these guards across the single player campaign. When you interact with it you will get the upgrade. Spend the points on upgrading your suit from the in game menu. Once you have applied all of the upgrades you will get the trophy.
See the trophy guide for "What Else Ya Got?" for more information on how to get this trophy.
Glory kills are a special attack that can be performed on stunned enemies. You can get this trophy very easily as enemies can be stunned quite quickly. A stunned enemy will be signalled by a blue or orange glow around the enemy (color depending on the distance from the enemy). The glory kills will make an enemy drop health which makes this something that you should try to go for in general as it helps you make it through the game much easier.
You will need to achieve a glory kill on every enemy type in the games single player. Common will refer to enemies that spawn more than once and doesn't count for the bosses. This is pretty easy to get, if you are working toward getting "Butcher" and you also want the health drops, you will be performing a lot of glory kills and will end up getting this trophy without even trying.
There are 14 enemies in total that you must perform a glory kill on in order to unlock this trophy. You can track which enemies you have performed a glory kill on from the in game menu by going to the codex and selecting the monsters. You need to kill the following enemies to get this trophy. Summoner, Baron of Hell, Cacodemon, Hell Knight, Imp, Mancubus, Pinky, Revenant, Possessed Soldier, The Possessed, Possessed Engineer, Unwilling, Hell Razer, Possessed Security
There are various power ups that you can use to get this trophy. The power ups are classic things that will make you do extra damage and move at high speed. Get a kill while under the effect of the power up to make it count toward the total. You can grind this by reloading a checkpoint if you are having any troubles getting this trophy.
See "IDDQD" for more information on upgrading runes.
Unlike the other glitched trophies in the game, this glitch can work in your favor and actually unlock the trophy early. If you use chapter select and replay a mission it will count an upgrade twice. This isnt a glitch you should worry about too much as it wont prevent you from unlocking the trophy.
See the collectible trophy guide for the location of every collectible in the single player campaign.
This trophy is also glitched in the same way "IDDQD". You can replay chapters and end up getting this sooner.
The mission challenges are objectives that you need to complete during missions in order to earn upgrades for weapon mods. Each mission after mission 2 will have challenges to complete. They vary from mission to mission, but none are particularly crazy.
Play enough online multiplayer matches and you will eventually win. If you play team based games you are more likely to get the win as others on the team may make up for you not being too good at first.
You should get up to level 5 pretty quickly. After playing a handful of games you should be up to level 5 and unlock the trophy.
This is part of the main story and can't be missed.
You don't have to put much effort into this. Make any piece of garbage and post it up. This attitude has of course meant that there are a ton of crap maps up on the system, but that's how it is. You can create a map from the SnapMaps menu.
SnapMaps are like custom games that users create. Most of them are going to be pretty basic and are more like challenge rooms. You must kill all of the enemies and get to the end room. You can access these from the SnapMap menu. Play 5 different maps and you will get the trophy. You must use single player maps that can actually be completed. i.e. have some end goal. You must actually complete the level, you can't just play it and quit to get the trophy.
You can take these tutorials from the SnapMap menu. There are 4 basic tutorials and 8 advances ones that you will need to complete to get the trophy. Feels like a bit of a chore, but it forces you to get to grips with the mapping tool and you may find that you actually enjoy creating maps.
