When pillaging settlements, the soldiers with me often set buildings on fire. Is there a way to set them on fire yourself?

If you press down on the d pad, you will see that you have a torch. Equip this and use it to aim. You will be able to throw the torch. If you throw it onto a thatch roof it will catch fire and the building will eventually catch fire as a result.
