I have found some old PC games that were released years ago and have not been released on Steam. I don’t have a disc drive on my laptop and I don’t want to be carrying a USB disc drive around with me for when I want to play these games. Is there a way to make the older games that require a disc to work without the disc drive being present?

Do a google search for “{game name} no cd patch”. There are no CD cracks and keys for most older disc based PC games. You will download a modified .exe file for a game and place it into the game folder in program files folder, or wherever you have the game installed and this will let you play the game without needing the games disc inserted into the PC.
In the event that you cant find a patch you can also use some disc emulation software to make it seem like the game disc is in the drive when it is not actually there.
