Fans of Destiny 2 have a weekly ritual of tracking down Xur, the mysterious vendor known for selling unique exotic gear. Xur, agent of the Nine, materializes in random places across the map every week, and from December 15 to 17, we have tips on where to find him and the exotics he has to offer.
Xur’s Hangout This Week: The Tower, Hangar
This week, from December 15 to 17, Xur has decided to make his appearance at The Tower, specifically in the Hangar area. The Tower is a convenient location, as it’s somewhere most players visit daily and there are no hostile enemies to contend with.
To find Xur, head over to the hangar, located on the right side of the map. He can be found to the left side of the hangar, up a set of metal steps that overhang the mountains to the side.
What’s in Xur’s Inventory?

Xur is a vendor shrouded in mystery who makes a weekly appearance in Destiny 2, popping up in random locations across the game’s map. Players who have exotic ciphers to hand in will need to seek out Xur, hand over their tokens, and in return, they’ll receive a selection of random (and often highly coveted) exotic gear.
Remember, Xur disappears at the end of the weekend, and if your cipher is still holding onto you, it won’t be possible to hand them in during the weekdays. You’ll have to wait until the coming Friday to find Xur’s new location and see what he has to offer.
