The Slumbering Lord of the Tundra is a major quest/mission in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that is a major part of the story of the game. The quest will require you to complete a series of smaller objectives that consist of you making your way to a location on the map, to prove your skills.
As you progress further with the quest, you will receive an objective change that will ask you to “Make your way to the top floor of Snowpoint Temple”. The temple is rather easy to locate but once you are inside, you will be presented with a series of challenges that can make this one of the most tricky quests you will need to complete in the story.
Which Panel Will You Press First?
When you get to the temple, you will get a rather cryptic message from the first door in relation to “Whether the Statues Gaze“. What does this mean and how does it relate to the door.
You will need to find the first statue to begin the flow. Do this by finding a statue that has no other statue looking at it. This is the first item you will need to press. The statue that the first statue is looking at is the second and so on. Chain these together and you will have the flow for the order in which panel to press on the locked door.
Order To Press Panels On First Door
Interact with the first door in Snowpoint temple and press the panels in the following order, based on the statues that came before the door.
- Rock
- Steel
- Ice
Panel Order on Second Door
On the second door, there will be a couple of extra statues, making this one a little more difficult. Keep in mind, the window the statue looks through still counts. If you are having trouble, you can unlock the door using the following pattern.
- Ice
- Rock
- Steel
- Rock
- Ice
Panel Order On Third Door
The third and final door contains the most statues. This one can be a little more difficult to figure out. If you are stuck with this one, here is the order to press the panels to unlock the door.
- Steel
- Ice

Unlocking the Door In The Lower Level?
When you first enter Snowpoint temple, you will need to head upstairs to unlock the first door with the panels on it. However, after walking past the size statues on the main floor, you will see stairs that take you down to a lower level or a basement. This area will have a large door that has what looks like six switches but there is no way to interact with it. What is this and what are you supposed to do with it?
There is no point in getting too involved with this door at the moment. You will eventually have to come back here later on in the game. You will know what to do when the time comes. If you want a spoiler, you can check out the quest guide here on how to unlock this door.
