I have a one hand axe in my main hand and a 2 hand axe in my second hand. During combat, I only ever seem to use the axe in my main hand and never the two hander. I know I need to use two 1 hand axes to dual wield, so it’s not surprising but what is the point in this if I can’t switch over to the 2 hand quickly. I have to go to the menu to swap then over. Surely there is a better way to so this so I can quickly switch the weapon in my primary hand to the secondary weapon I have equipped?

If you press the right trigger or R2 button and then press the right analog stick, it will do exactly what you are looking for. It will swap the weapons in both hands so that your primary will become secondary and secondary becomes the primary weapon.
