Birstan not leaving after killing bears?

I have killed the bears that were attacking Birstan but nothing is happening, the character appears to have glitches out.

I believe this is a known bug with this game. You will have to reload the last auto save to fix it. There is no way to make him get unstuck and behave normally without doing this.
