Once you reach level 30 and complete all of the main story missions in Division 2, you will reach what is known as the end game. From this point, standard leveling is no longer important and instead the focus is shifted to something called gear score. What is it and how to does it work? This guide, including a video, will explain everything you need to know and will teach you how to increase your gear score.
If you open the pause menu, you will see that the character screen has changed. The level is no longer in the center and now you will see something called gear score. This is now the most important metric in the game and you need to put all your effort into increasing it.
How To Increase Gear Score In Division 2
The answer is to get better gear. It is as simple as that. The gear score you see in the menu is the average score across all of the items you currently have equipped. The higher level items you get, the higher it will push the average score.
Finding better gear is the challenbge. Gear only drops around +15 higher than your current score. This means that you can’t just go out there and stumble upon a piece of gear with a level of 400 when you are only 250. This is why it is important to equip items as quickly as you can. The best way to make the most of this is by using the reconstruction station. Check out the video below for a full tutorial on how this works.
