I have noticed lately that when i catch a Pokemon in Pokemon Go a bunch of gold stars will fly out of the Pokeball. I thought it was something to do with a shiny, but none of them are every shiny. What does it mean when gold stars come out of the Pokeball?

It means that you are successful with your catch. Usually if the pokemon is a shiny, you will know when you are trying to catch it. Shiny pokemon will have a three star like icon next to the Pokemon. I hope this helps!
