Pokemon started out as a trading card game in the 90s and quickly spiraled into a monster franchise. A string of movies, tv shows, merchandise, and highly successful video games. Nintendo is constantly pushing out game franchises that are highly addictive and gather a large fan following.
Pokemon is based around a world inhabited by unique and unusual creatures called pokemon. Players will travel the land to try and capture all of the unique Pokemon in order to become the ultimate trainer. Players can have battles against other trainers. The video games center around a player, you, attempting to climb the ranks to become the greatest trainer of all time. Although the game story remains the same for every game, there is a strong following behind these games due to the fantastic sense of adventure they bring.
