Most of the coolest and high tear armor thst I can craft with the dwarfs requires an ingredient called smouldering ember. Where can I find this? I have completed a large amount if the game and have yet to find any of it.

You obtain them for completing the trials on muspelheim. For each trial you complete your get 15-20 embers. They are not as valuable as it seems though. If the armor looks that good to you then you are likely underpowered to face a lot of these challenges, particularly the final one. Either way, if you want to get a few pieces of this armor you need to go and complete a few of these trials.
