Is there any connection between the Leviathan Axe and Thor's hammer?

There is the obvious cosmetic similarities with them both being Nordic and all that, but is there a more substantial connection. They both have an elemental power imbued into them and both weapons can be thrown and will return to the owners hand on demand. They seem like they are made of the same thing. Is there a link between the 2 weapons?

Yes there is a direct connection. Play the game further and you will find out more about it. Both weapons were made by the same people which is why they share the similarities. It’s fairly interesting so I won’t spoil it.
