I used the explorer kit and now I am stuck in the grand underground. The pokemon down here are too strong for me right now so I want to get back to the main quest but I don’t see any way to get out of this place. When I die the girl talks to me before floating up into the sky. How are you meant to escape the underground?

If you press Y on the controller it will bring up a menu where you can view the map or can “go up”. This option will bring you back to the surface and you can do what you want then. You can also return when you like so there’s no pressure to do much in the underground for now
