If you are working toward getting 100% completion in Atlas Fallen or there is just something that you want to go back and clear up from past areas, you may be wondering whether it is actually possible to go back. When you leave the first area of the game and enter the caves, it will give you a warning that you should finish up whatever you plan to do in this area before moving on. Does that mean there is no going back?
The answer is no, it is actually possible to revisit earlier areas of the game. It does require you to have found at least one anvil in each area, which shouldn’t be an issue for most people.
How To Travel Back To Past Areas of The Game
In order to go back to previous areas of the game, you are going to need to visit an anvil in the current area that you are in. Go down to the fast travel section and it will bring up the map. The button may change depending on the platform but all of the controls are listed along the bottom of the screen. You can see from the image below that there is an option to switch map.
Simply select this option and it will allow you to cycle between the previous areas of the game that you have been at. This lets you go back and complete side quests, collect resources and complete other activities to work toward 100% completion.
