Follow the steps below to print an extractor to complete your Unearthed quest in Astroneer. This quest will task you with using an extractor. Here is what you need to do.
Step 1: Resource Gathering
Before you can print anything, you need to gather the necessary resources. For the extractor, you need:
- 1x Plastic
- 2x Iron
Obtaining Plastic:
Plastic is a composite resource in Astroneer. It combines Carbon and Compound. You can use the Chemistry Lab to create Plastic.
Obtaining Iron:
Iron is a resource in the game obtained from Hematite. Hematite can commonly be found on the planets Novus and Glacio.
Step 2: Printing the Auto Extractor
Once you have the required resources, you can start the printing process. If you do not have the printing recipe, you will need to spend some research points to unlock the blueprint.
- Go to the Large Printer.
- Scroll through the options until you find the Extractor.
- Click on the Extractor icon, then click the green button to start the printing process.
Step 3: Using the Extractor
After the extractor is printed, you’ll need to:
- Connect it to a power source.
- Place an appropriate resource in the input slot of the extractor (the type of resource required depends on the extractor type).
Then, you can start the extractor. The extractor will gradually consume the resource and produce output.
Step 4: Completing the Unearthed quest
To complete the Unearthed quest, you will need to use the extractor to extract specific resources (the type of resource depends on the quest requirements).
When you’ve extracted enough resources, the quest will be automatically completed.
