If i want to start a virtual reality game, what does it cost to get started? Is it expensive to get a Vr setup and buy all of the computer parts that you need to do it?

If you are referring to the cost of a VR headset, the cost depends on what headset you buy. There are also other variables to consider. The PSVR is the cheapest of the main VR headsets, it runs with the PS4 and uses the PS move controllers to work. The full package with headset, console and controllers will come in under $1000. The cost of the HTC vive and Rift are almost double the price. On top of this you will need a gaming PC which will come in at around $700 if you go for a fairly low spec system that can just about run VR games. Realistically, you will spend in the region of $2000 for VR on PC.
