I have unlocked 10 achievements in this game so far when I check the menu. When I click the Google play link, it shows that I have 0. Why are the Google play achievements not unlocking when they are unlocking in game?

I think the game tries to auto link with your Google play account when you launch the game but then it messes up somehow. The same thing happened to me.
Go to the settings and click accounts. You will see Google play and Facebook as options. If Google play is disconnected, problem solved. If it is, log out and back in. The achievements won’t pop but they will sync after a few minutes.
