I am stuck during the quest with sandman where I am unable to get over his head. It is blocking the way forward and there is no way to climb on top of it or jump over it.

You need to move back a bit and look for the pull point on some other structures nearby. Press R1 and L1 then to zip over to the item and you will be able to push forward then from here by hopping along the different rocks and stuff.
