Is there a way to make original NES carts work with the new NES mini? Nintendo always had a thing for hardware add-ons and backwards compatibility so it would be cool if it did.

It would be really cool if it was possible, but the NES mini is really small, there is nowhere to fit a standard NES game cart. It is possible to mod the NES mini in order to add a huge amount of NES games. If you want more games then it is probably better looking into this as it is easier not having to mess around with game carts anyway
