Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to using my Steam Deck to its full potential, so I hope I’m not asking something that’s been covered. I’ve been playing Minecraft Bedrock using the Nix unofficial launcher, and recently it started acting up after an update. Whenever I try to launch the game in gaming mode, it just loops back to the launch page, which is super annoying. I can launch it fine from desktop mode, but can’t use the Deck’s controls in that setup. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it, or should I just wait for the developers to sort it out?

I’ve been having the same issue! It’s really frustrating because I want to play Realms with my pals, but I have to jump to desktop mode to get it working. It’s a hassle to set up, but I’m hoping for a more permanent fix soon.
I totally get your frustration! I had a similar experience but managed to fix it by following these steps:
1. Delete the launcher from the Steam library in gaming mode.
2. Remove it from the Steam Deck in desktop mode using Dolphin.
3. Make sure to clean up any leftover user data (you’ll see a warning about that).
4. Reinstall the launcher and tweak the settings to 1280×800. Save changes by scrolling to the button—took me ages to figure that out!
5. Finally, log in and switch back to gaming mode. That did the trick for me!
