Rock-type Pokémon are one of the 18 different types of Pokémon in the Pokémon franchise. These Pokémon are often based on rocks, mountains, and other geological features. They are known for their high defense and resistance to Normal, Flying, Poison, Fire and Electric-type moves. They are also known for their powerful physical attacks. Rock-type Pokémon are weak against Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground and Steel-type moves. Rock-types are super effective against Fire, Ice, Flying, Bug and also weak against Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground and Steel types. Some well-known Rock-type Pokémon include Geodude, Onix and Tyranitar.
