HYPERVIOLENT, a retro-inspired FPS with immersive sim depth, is set to launch on PC on September 23, 2025. Developed by nfoPRINCE and Terminist Arcade and published by Fulqrum Publishing, the game will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com.
Set on an abandoned mining asteroid, the sci-fi campaign awakens an ancient evil and sends players digging into a dark secret scattered across data logs, terminals, and even enemy remains. It’s pitched squarely at fans of old-school shooters like Quake and DOOM, with a modern layer of systemic interaction and exploration.
Brutal combat, immersive systems
HYPERVIOLENT blends boomer shooter ferocity with sandbox-style problem solving. Players can dual-wield firearms, swing axes, and lean into savage melee: kicks, punches, and even wielding severed enemy arms. Resource management matters, and environmental interaction opens up multiple paths through encounters.
The game’s “Six Degrees of Violence” gameplay adds high-intensity sequences where you can fly a spaceship through narrow corridors. Tools can be used to control foes, offering creative approaches to both combat and navigation.
What’s included at 1.0
- 22 weapons, 14 explorable areas, and five boss fights
- 3D/pixel hybrid visual style and an intense horror atmosphere
- RPG/FPS mechanics with environmental interaction and dual-wielding
- English audio, with subtitles in German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Russian
Console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S | X are in development. On PC, you’ll find it day one on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com. If you’re chasing that classic arena feel with modern flexibility and a grimy sci-fi vibe, keep HYPERVIOLENT on your radar.
