Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is out now digitally on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support, available via the Microsoft Store. The remake delivers a standalone story that welcomes newcomers while honoring the classic with a modernized presentation and refined systems.
A limited-time 30% discount is live from launch through October 8, 2025. Players can also download a free demo, and any progress made carries over to the full game.
Beyond Xbox, the game is also available on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.
What’s new in this remake
Built from the ground up, this version features modern visuals and reworked strategic gameplay, with quality-of-life enhancements that include adjustable difficulty modes and the option to switch between classic and rearranged soundtracks. It retains the series’ hallmark Free-form Scenario system, inviting players to carve their own path through a generations-spanning saga.
As rulers seeking to expand an empire and repel the Seven Heroes, choices shape the narrative and determine who inherits the imperial throne. Combat strategies, story routes, and succession decisions can ripple across eras, rewarding experimentation and replay.
