News Tower locks in November 18, 2025 launch with finished 1.0 build and a jazzy new spotlight

News Tower game release

News Tower, the 1930s newsroom tycoon from Sparrow Night and publisher Twin Sails Interactive, has set a new release date of November 18, 2025. The team moved the launch from November 4 to sidestep a crowded season and give the game a clearer runway.

The studio says the 1.0 build is complete, stable, and ready for prime time. Alongside launch confirmation, the developers highlighted a raft of new systems and content arriving in the full release, plus fresh details on its period-inspired soundtrack.

A new “Behind the Music” video dives into the game’s 1930s-style jazz score, performed by New Cool Collective, with composer Bart van de Sande discussing how the music underscores newsroom rhythms and player decision-making. The soundtrack is available on Spotify and YouTube for those eager to sample it ahead of release.

The 1.0 feature set expands the campaign with four additional in-game years (1936–1939) and layers in a new Military faction. Faction quests and reputations have been overhauled, and a competitor system with district conflicts adds pressure to your editorial rise. A revamped perception system, new endgame unlockable towers, new districts and decorations, achievements, and leaderboards round out the strategic depth. Localization support now includes French, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.

With the added content, the price has been adjusted from $19.99 to $24.99. The game has momentum behind it too: News Tower won four categories at the 2024 Dutch Game Awards and has earned praise from The New York Times. Players can wishlist the game on Steam to follow updates and get notified at launch.

Developed by Sparrow Night and published by Twin Sails Interactive, News Tower aims to capture the hustle of a pre-war newsroom—balancing editorial ethics, faction interests, and market competition—while its jazz-forward score keeps the tempo of your growing media empire.
