News Tower 1.0 launches on Steam with expanded campaign, factions, and global leaderboards

News Tower game release

News Tower, the 1930s newsroom tycoon from Sparrow Night, has reached version 1.0 and is now available on Steam for PC and macOS. Priced at $24.99 USD, it launches with a 20% discount running through December 2, 2025.

Set in a bustling pre-war New York, players build and manage a vertical newsroom that grows from a scrappy Brooklyn outfit into a citywide media force. Production floors hum with printers, darkrooms, and pneumatic tubes, while hiring decisions span editors, reporters, copywriters, ad sellers, janitors, and lawyers to keep deadlines, budgets, and legal risks in check.

Your editorial stance shapes the paper’s identity. Pursue integrity-first reporting to build trust over time, or lean into sensationalism to chase spikes in readership and advertiser interest. Faction influence introduces ethical trade-offs, with pressure from the Mayor’s office, the Mafia, High Society, and the newly added Military—each offering missions, perks, and reputational risks.

The full release extends the campaign through 1939, weaving hundreds of new stories from the U.S. and Europe into your daily editions. New faction quests, a deeper reputation system, branching narrative paths, and revamped editorial perception mechanics tighten the feedback loop between your front-page choices and circulation. Rival newspapers now compete for turf, leading to district control clashes across Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, Queens, and the Bronx.

City-building depth expands with new buildings, decorations, districts, fresh tower layouts, and late-game expansion options that reward efficient floor planning. Global leaderboards and achievements add long-term goals for optimization-minded players, while an expanded localization suite supports French, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
