Gah, it’s happened! The worst kind of bug or glitch is one that can corrupt your game save, erasing hours upon hours of valuable progress. For a game like Horizon: Forbidden west, which is a very long game, you may be losing out on a huge amount I’d you find the game save is no longer loading. Sadly, it is a possibility and fixing it may not be an easy one. Hopefully, this guide helps though.
There is a game save bug that will cause the loading screen to appear with a small loading bar at the bottom right of the screen that never reaches completion. It will stay at around one quarter and the game will never load. Turn the PS5 off and on again and the problem will remain, there doesn’t appear to be a way to get around this problem.
How To Fix a Frozen Load Screen
The frozen load screen glitch is something that may end up being patched. The game save itself isn’t fully corrupted as the game still recognizes it and can load it up, but there is something inside that save file the game does not like and it hangs on this.
For now, the only possible solution to this is to reload an earlier game save…I know, you haven’t made a save in a while! Thankfully, it’s not that bad. The game makes a lot of trailing autosaves during major events in the game. Chances are there are a dozen from the past hour that you may be able to make use of, mitigating the extent of the damage.
Pick a game save that is one or two places down the list and try to load it back up. If the game still gets stuck on the loading screen, quit the game and try to load up a slightly older game save. Keep doing this over and over until the game loads. With a bit of luck, it will load up with the first game save, but it is hard to know the extent of the problem and how far back it could be corrupting game saves for.
I am at the stage where there are two burrowers and Aloy needs to throw a rock to distract. I’m playing on PS5 and it says to tap down arrow to equip the rock and hold and release R2 to throw. No matter how I do this all I end up doing is a power strike with the staff and failing the quest. I can’t throw the rock. Is this a glitch in the game or something I’m doing wrong?
I can’t load any of the saves it partially loads then closes out my game anybody know how to fix this?
