Acid Farming Guide

Acid is a crafting component in Fallout 76 that you may not have much use for in the early stages of the game. Later on in the game, you will discover that acid is required for the production of gunpowder. Gunpowder is obviously a key ingredient in creating bullets for your guns. 

Best Places To Farm Acid

While acid is relatively common in items you find while exploring, the best way to farm it is by killing enemies that drop it. This will net you some handy XP in the process making it a double win. Below are some good locations you can use for farming Acid in Fallout 76. 

Toxic Larry’s Meat ‘n Go

Toxic Larry’s Meat ‘n Go can be used to farm snallygaster enemies. These are a reliable source of acid drops.

This location contains a few enemies called Snallygasters. Killing these will net you several acid per enemy. You will also ger asbestos from these guys if you need this too. There are also a few random pieces of loot to get here. Log out and back in again to keep farming this location. 

Hemlock Holes Maintenance (or any workshop)

There are a few different workshops that will contain acid deposits. This particular location is good as it contains 3 acid spots to farm. You will get some Xp when you defend it too. Capturing this on a private server is a good way to get this done without having to deal with other players trying to capture it from you. 

Junk Items That Contain Acid

Most junk that contains Acid will be some kind of chemical. Things used for cleaning or just chemicals like antifreeze. There are also lots of enemies that spit acid. When killed, they usually drop some kind of body part that creates the liquid that you can scrap. When you are out adventuring in the wild, keep an eye out for the following items as they can all be scrapped to obtain some acid.
