Bee Simulator: The Hive is out now on PS4/PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S as of November 28, 2025. This release bundles the original 2019 Bee Simulator with a brand-new expansion, The Hive, delivering a larger, more feature-rich experience for both returning players and newcomers.
The Hive expansion shifts the focus to strategic colony management. Players can build and customize their own bee hive, gather resources, establish outposts across the park, and unlock new buildings to strengthen their colony. These systems weave into the game’s single-player story, which sends players across a semi-open world inspired by New York’s Central Park to protect the hive from looming threats.

Beyond management, the game expands its activity roster with a variety of mini-games—darting through races, collecting pollen with precision, performing bee dances to communicate, and defending against wasps. These activities tie into progression across both the narrative and the new colony-building mechanics.
Local multiplayer returns with split-screen co-op for up to four players. Cooperative and competitive modes unfold on dedicated multiplayer maps, letting friends collaborate on objectives or face off in challenges tailored to the series’ fast, aerial movement.
The world is scored by composer Mikołaj Stroiński, whose credits include The Witcher 3 and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, bringing a sweeping orchestral touch to exploration, flight, and hive defense.

Whether you’re returning from the 2019 release or jumping in for the first time, this combined package offers a broader playground: story-driven exploration in a vibrant park, layered with colony-building depth, pick-up-and-play mini-games, and couch-friendly multiplayer.
