Forever Skies has launched Echoes Part 1 on PC and PlayStation 5, the first of three planned updates shaped by player feedback. The studio is zeroing in on expanding world diversity and refining core systems in Biome 1 while setting the stage for larger changes ahead.
At the heart of this drop are 10 new side quests that delve into the lives and legacies of the world’s past inhabitants, plus a location diversity system that reshapes how environments appear and evolve as you explore. Players will also find an extractor upgrade system for deeper resource progression, six unique landmarks to discover, eight new airship decor items for customizing your vessel, and an advanced reporting tool designed to streamline player feedback and bug reports.

A new trailer highlights these additions and the renewed focus on variety within Biome 1, showing how the revamped environments and systems interlock with survival, scavenging, and co-op play. The game’s premise remains intact: you’re a scientist returning to a toxic, post-apocalyptic Earth to search for a cure to a deadly virus, harnessing advanced tech aboard a customizable airship—solo or with up to four players.
Echoes Part 1 is the opening chapter of a three-part roadmap. Echoes Part 2 is slated for December 2025 with a focus on Biome 2, while Echoes Part 3 is targeting spring 2026 as the largest update yet, expanding Biome 3 and rolling out broader changes across the entire game.

To celebrate the launch, Forever Skies is discounted by 45% on Steam and 30% on PlayStation for a limited time. If you’ve been waiting to dive in—or to return and see how the world has evolved—Echoes Part 1 offers fresh reasons to take your airship back into the clouds.
