Days Gone Remastered Set for PS5 Release with Exciting New Content

Days Gone Remastered

The highly anticipated Days Gone Remastered is launching on PlayStation 5 on April 25, offering an upgraded and enhanced version of the original game. This definitive edition brings fresh modes, features, and technical improvements, compatible with both PS5 and PS5 Pro consoles. Existing PlayStation 4 users have the chance to upgrade to this remastered version for $10 USD, ahead of its initial release. Pre-orders are currently available through the PlayStation Store, with the Broken Road DLC accessible on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Days Gone Remastered

Among the new features debuting in Days Gone Remastered are several engaging game modes. Horde Assault, Permadeath, and Speedrun modes introduce challenging gameplay elements and will also be accessible to PC players via the Broken Road DLC. Specifically, Horde Assault is an arcade-style survival mode that puts players’ skills to the test with ever-increasing horde sizes and an array of enemy types, intensifying as time progresses.

In Horde Assault, players begin the action with merely a sidearm and the task of locating their Drifter bike. Supply Boxes scattered throughout the map provide randomized weapon drops, including a brand-new flamethrower that is not featured in the Story mode. This mode offers approximately 10 hours of additional gameplay, aimed at players who have progressed towards the latter stages of the game.

For those embarking on challenges within Horde Assault, Side Jobs present opportunities to earn valuable resources and experience points. The crescendo of this mode is embodied in the Ultimate Horde, a daunting test of survival that unfolds if players last beyond 30 minutes. Furthermore, a Reward path comprises 35 levels that offer Injectors, character skins, and patch cosmetics, alongside six unique characters available for play for the first time.

Injectors within this mode can either enhance or detract from a player’s score and gameplay experience. They are categorized into Positive and Negative types, each having distinct effects. Some intriguing examples include projectile Exploding Freakers and the Wanted feature, adding layers of difficulty and strategic planning to this endgame offering. It should be noted that although Horde Assault is accessible from the start in the remastered edition, it is geared towards players who have ventured through much of the main story.
