Kaizen Game Works, the creative minds behind the critically acclaimed game Paradise Killer, has announced an exciting development for the gaming community. They have released a playable demo for their newest project, Promise Mascot Agency, exclusively on the PlayStation 5. This upcoming game is set to offer players a unique experience, blending elements of open-world exploration, mascot management, and crime drama.
The development team at Kaizen Game Works, primarily composed of PlayStation enthusiasts, drew significant inspiration from the original PlayStation as well as subsequent generations including PS2, PS3, and PS4. These influences are evident in both the aesthetic and gameplay design of Promise Mascot Agency.

In Promise Mascot Agency, players step into the shoes of Michi, a former yakuza lieutenant who finds himself exiled. Michi’s journey leads him to partner with Pinky, and together they embark on a mission to rescue a bankrupt mascot agency while unraveling an intricate conspiracy that lurks within the underworld of Kaso-Machi, a cursed town in Japan. The game’s narrative promises a rich tapestry of misfit characters, supernatural events, and numerous mysteries, including ghost sightings and the hunt for the mythical Tsuchinoko creature.
The creators have been working on this project for the last four years. They collaborated with notable industry figures including Ikumi Nakamura and Mai Mattori for character and world design. The collaboration ensured a seamless blend of Kaizen’s distinctive style and Nakamura-san’s vision, resulting in a unique gaming experience.

Adding to the game’s allure is its exceptional voice cast. Takaya Kuroda lends his voice to Michi, while Ayano Shibuya voices Pinky. The game also features voice acting contributions from industry stalwarts Shuhei Yoshida and SWERY.
Promise Mascot Agency is poised to be a 20-hour open-world RPG adventure. It introduces players to innovative features on the PS5, such as DualSense controller haptics, adaptive triggers, and integrated speaker functions, enhancing the immersive experience of the game.
The demo for Promise Mascot Agency can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. Gamers eager for more can look forward to additional details about the full release in the near future.
