Sulfur is an atmospheric resource in Astroneer. A resource that became famous in games like Minecraft for being explosive. It can’t directly be used to create explosives but when you combine it with carbon, you will find yourself with some explosive powder. You can start speeding up your mining and excavation efforts now that you can start blowing the planet to pieces.
How Do You Get Sulfur?
In order to get sulfur gas, you will need to construct an Atmospheric Condenser. This is a machine that will allow you to extract it from the air of any planet that contains this resource in the atmosphere.
What Planets contain Sulfur?
The table below will show all of the planets in Astroneer with the current PPU of sulfur that can be found on each planet. Not all planets contain this resource. Those marked with a PPU of 0 do not contain any.
Planet | Sulfur PPU |
Sylva | 0 |
Desolo | 0 |
Calidor | 100 |
Vesania | 0 |
Novus | 0 |
Glacio | 0 |
Atrox | 75 |
What Is Sulfur Used To Create?
Sulfur is only used in the creation of one single item in the chemistry station. For late-game structures and items, some of the composite resources are highly valuable. You may not have an immediate use for this resource, but it is worth capturing some while you are on one of the planets if possible to save a return trip at a later date.
Creation Method | Input | Output Item/Structure |
Chemistry Lab | 2 Carbon, 1 Sulfur | Explosive Powder |
