Viscerafest Arrives in Full Release
The sci-fi first-person shooter Viscerafest, developed by Acid Man Games and Fire Plant Games, has officially launched out of Early Access. After a period of development and community feedback, the game is now available to purchase on Steam, The Epic Games Store, and GOG. Players can experience the full 1.0 release, which comes packed with enhancements and new content.
The 1.0 update delivers significant improvements to the first two chapters, introducing upgraded textures, additional secrets, more scripted sequences, revised dialogue, and a trove of fresh one-liners. Fans returning to the game will find a refreshed experience, while newcomers have even more to discover as they dive into its stylized, frenetic combat.
Viscerafest centers on Caroline, a determined mercenary taking on a bounty to defeat the warlock Cromune. Her quest, motivated by the dream of marrying her boyfriend, thrusts her into conflict with Cromune’s heavily armed protectors, including the U.S.C. and zealous cultists. Players make their way through a variety of settings—from ominous space stations to bizarre, otherworldly realms—each filled with secrets, puzzles, and objectives.
A revamped shop hub now lets players spend their collectable Skullies to unlock powerful cheats and gameplay modifiers, adding new layers of replayability. Modifier options like “Viscerahot” and the chaotic “Oops All Cultists” change up encounters and offer unique challenges for every run.
The launch version features an arsenal of 9 unique weapons, a bestiary of over 27 enemy types, and 7 formidable bosses. Ammunition, health, and armor management remain central to survival, requiring swift reflexes as Caroline. Players can perfect their movement with techniques like Bunny Hopping and Dashing, enabling high-speed traversal and nimble dodges through relentless enemy fire.
Viscerafest is priced at $19.99, €19.99, or £16.99, with a limited-time 20% discount available during the launch week on all platforms. Whether you’re chasing high scores, secret discoveries, or simply carving a bloody path through legions of foes, this FPS aims to deliver action-packed, replayable fun for retro shooter fans.
