Astroneer - Titanite

astroneer titanite

Sounds made up for the game but this is actually a real resource. The name also makes it quite obvious as to what the resource is used for in the game. When you collect Titanite in Astroneer, you can smelt it down to create titanium.

The resource is uncommon and you will need to travel to the planets far away in order to obtain it. Depending on the planet, the resource may appear in different parts of the terrain.

Where To Find Titanite

Titanite can only be found on two planets Vasania and Glacio. This means you will not be able to obtain titanium until much later in the game when you possess the ability to fly further into the solar system.

Titanite is a large spikey resource that will grow out of the ground. It looks a lot like Malachite but it is a more solid lime green color and does not look metallic but rather more of a crystal/stone-like appearance.

Since this is a planet specific resource, it is not possible to obtain this resource using a soil centrifuge. It is possible to trade it using a trade platform.

What is Titanite Used For?

Like with all other metal ores in their raw, unprocessed form, the only use for them is smelting in order to create the refined metal, Titanium, which has more uses.
