Nintendo

Nintendo is one of the oldest video game manufacturers that are still active. The Nintendo Entertainment System or NES was released back in 1983 in Japan where it was known as the Famicom. Since then they have released a steady stream of fantastic video games for each console generation.

Nintendo had started to introduce some basic networking elements with Wii and the 3DS handheld devices, but it wasn’t until the massive success of the Switch console that we began to see a proper Nintendo online network emerge. As time goes on, the network is likely to evolve in the same way that competitor networks have.

Nintendo is known for its high levels of creativity with both the addons they release for their consoles and for the games that they produce. They are responsible for some of the biggest game franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Metroid, and Pokemon.
