Devil Jam brings heavy metal mayhem to Steam on November 3

Devil Jam game release

Rogueside Games has announced Devil Jam, a heavy metal–themed survivor roguelike launching on Steam on November 3. Priced at $7.99 USD/EUR, the game will debut with a 10% launch discount available for the first two weeks.

Players step into the boots of a musician who signs a deal with the devil and storms into hell for the performance of a lifetime. Drawing inspiration from Vampire Survivors and Hades, the run-based action focuses on tight movement, escalating builds, and reactive combat set to a relentless metal beat.

At the heart of the experience are possessed instruments that automatically play in sync with the soundtrack—every beat lands as a hit and every riff translates into an attack. The systems are designed to make rhythm and positioning feel inseparable, turning the arena into a thrashing dance floor where timing fuels destruction.

Combat unfolds across hand-drawn hellscapes with meticulous effects work, emphasizing speed and clarity as enemy waves intensify. Boss encounters demand both skill and strategy, pushing players to read patterns, commit to windows, and leverage their builds under pressure.

Buildcrafting sits center stage with 12 inventory slots and a staggering 4.93 quadrillion possible weapon combinations. The breadth of configurations invites experimentation with synergies, letting players tailor unique setups that evolve over a run and reward bold choices.
