Give the region a clear visual theme and carry it through the whole area. Burned forests, ash-covered grasslands, or damaged industrial sites could make it feel more connected to the volcanic setting than a mix of unrelated landscapes.

A storyline that ties those locations together would help too. The setting would feel more memorable if the missions showed what happened there and why each place matters.

A new look would help, but the missions need to feel different as well. Distinct enemy types and objectives could make late-game play feel less like repeating the same challenge in a new location.

It might work best to connect those changes to the region's theme, so the enemies and mission goals feel like part of Twine Peaks rather than additions that could fit anywhere.

If a full region overhaul isn't on the table, smaller changes could still make Twine Peaks feel more considered. More consistent environmental details, a few memorable locations, and mission rewards that feel worthwhile would give players something to look forward to.

The visual identity and the reasons to keep playing should support each other. A new landscape alone might not change how the missions feel.
