Try Control if you want a strange central mystery with plenty of combat. Its setting keeps offering odd clues about what’s going on, while the missions give you reasons to keep moving through the story. It’s a good fit if you want unanswered questions without giving up action.

Prey could work for the mix of suspense, exploration, and fights. The story is built around figuring out what happened in an isolated space station, and you can approach many encounters in different ways. It’s less of a nonstop action game, but the mystery gives the exploration a clear purpose.

If you’re open to a more character-focused story, try The Last of Us Part I. It has tense stretches and action, but its pull comes more from following the characters than solving a big world mystery. For a more twisty mystery with horror and investigation, Alan Wake 2 is another option, though it has slower sections.
