A Night Market run appears to have returned to the faction-selection step. About 15,000 favor seems to be missing, but earned achievements still show, and an expected character isn't there. Group Finder is also failing. What should be checked before assuming the progress is gone?

Don't assume the achievements and favor are stored or restored in the same way. Before repeating any steps, note the current quest prompt, the missing favor, and which achievements still appear. If the state stays this way, send those details to the game's support team so they can assess the discrepancy.

I'd treat the Group Finder problem as a separate issue for now. Its failure doesn't show whether Night Market progress has reset. Check Group Finder again later, and keep a note of when both problems occurred in case they need to be reported separately.
