Is ARAM Mayhem permanent or just a limited event?

I came back after a long break and I’m really enjoying ARAM Mayhem, but I can’t tell if it’s meant to stay or if it’s just a temporary event. The only date I’ve found is the end of the progression track, which doesn’t make it clear whether the mode itself is leaving too. Has there been any clear info on that?

From the way these modes are usually handled, the progression track ending does not automatically mean the mode disappears that same day. That date can just mark the end of the rewards, missions, or event pass side of things.

If a mode is going to stick around, it is often because the developers say so pretty plainly. If there is no direct announcement saying it is permanent, I would treat it as temporary for now and assume it could rotate out later.

Yeah, that was my read too. The track ending is the only hard date I’ve seen, but that alone is not enough to call it permanent.

The safest answer is that there is no solid public confirmation that it is permanent. What people have been pointing to is that the mode was extended once after feedback, which suggests it was doing well, but that still does not equal a forever mode.

If you are trying to decide whether to grind it out, I’d use the June 9 track deadline as the only reliable thing you have. The mode may continue beyond that, but I would not bank on it without an explicit announcement.

BlueMarten:

This is probably the best way to look at it. Extension because it is popular is one thing, permanence is another.

SaffronLoop:

Exactly. “Still here after the event” and “permanent queue” are not the same claim.

I think people are mixing up two different questions. One is whether the rewards track ends, and the other is whether the actual playlist gets removed. Those can have totally different timelines.

Since the information floating around only mentions the progression track end date, that suggests the event wrapper is ending, not necessarily the mode immediately. But unless there is a direct note saying the playlist is staying, nobody should assume it is locked in forever.

LunarBracket:

That split makes sense. A lot of these limited modes keep running for a while after the event stuff is gone.

Short version, there does not seem to be an official permanent label on it. The only date people can point to is the progression track, and that is more about rewards than the queue itself.

So the honest answer is, maybe it stays, maybe it rotates out, but there is no clear public confirmation either way. If you want a practical rule, enjoy it now and do not assume it will be around forever.

NorthPine:

That’s the cleanest answer. No announcement means no guarantee.
