I’m looking for practical battleship positioning advice. How do you choose a lane, avoid getting isolated, and respond when the other team sets up well?
How should I position a battleship during a match?

Think of your position as somewhere you can fire while still having a safe way out. Start near a route that gives you useful targets, but leave room to turn toward cover or retreat if several enemies focus you. Check the map often, since a flank that looked safe a minute ago can collapse quickly.

Try not to sail straight into the center just because it offers lots of targets. You can get caught between angles and have no clean exit. A position a little behind the front line often lets you support allies without being the first ship exposed. Keep moving when you can, and avoid making a slow, predictable turn while enemies have a clear shot.

When the opposing battleships are dug in, look for a way to change the geometry rather than trading shots from the same angle forever. Shift toward a neighboring lane with your team, or hold back until allies draw attention and create a safer opening. If your side is outnumbered, giving ground together can be better than staying put and getting surrounded.
